CNC Global selected to lead Recruitment Process Outsourcing Initiative for the City of Edmonton
July 31 2006 - CNC Global Limited, Canada's leading provider
of IT staffing and Recruitment Process Outsourcing solutions, is pleased to
announce that it has been selected by the City of Edmonton (the City) to
provide a wide range of Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) services to help
fulfill its ongoing IT staff augmentation requirements.
The City joins a growing number of public and private sector
organizations across Canada that are exploring the benefits of RPO. By
leveraging CNC Global's proven RPO services and engaging a limited number of
approved vendors, the City estimates that it will be able to reduce its IT
contract staffing costs by as much as 10-15% while simultaneously reducing its
hiring cycle by up to 75%. At the same time, the City expects to improve
candidate quality and increase control over its IT contract resource
initiatives through enhanced reporting and consistent service level
agreements.
"We're pleased that our solution was chosen from among so many
competitive proposals and we look forward to helping the City achieve its
staffing goals," said Terry Power, President of CNC Global. "Our RPO solutions
have been especially popular in the public sector, where we can often
introduce process enhancements that make significant gains in efficiency."
"At the end of the day," said Dan Lajeunesse, Coordinator of Strategic
Procurement for the City and Project Manager for this initiative, "we were
looking for a strategic partner to drive innovation in IT talent acquisition
and to help us contain costs and improve efficiencies. We are very confident
that by partnering with CNC Global we will exceed all of our objectives."
The outsourcing arrangement, which is scheduled to begin immediately and
will remain in place for up to five years, will manage the engagement of up to
50+ information technology professionals on an annual basis. Utilizing skilled
contract workers has become increasingly important to the City as an essential
element to the successful delivery of new and expanded services enabled
through their Corporate IT Strategic Plan.
