Elinor K. Hite to Fill Top HR Post for YMCA National Office

CHICAGO, Sept. 6 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Elinor K. Hite, recent director of human resources for nationally renowned Chicago law firm, Jenner and Block, has been named Strategic Director of Human Resources and Organizational Development for YMCA of the USA, it was announced here today. YMCA of the USA (Y-USA) is the national resource office for the 2,594 independent YMCAs in this country, collectively ranked again this year by the NonProfit Times as the nation's top non-profit organization.

Elinor Hite joins Y-USA from an already accomplished, impressive career. In her roles at Jenner and Block, as well as with the Fortune 500 Company British Petroleum (Amoco Corporation) she held responsibility for human resources leadership, involving strategic planning, change management and transition, recruitment and professional development.

In addition to her successful professional career, Hite chairs the board of the National Presbyterian Foundation, has been an active member of the board of trustees of the McCormick Theological Seminary and its committees, and has served as vice president of the board of the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation. She has also worked with private consulting groups and volunteers as an HR consultant for small business practices.

Hite received a Bachelor of Arts in English and Psychology from Denison University, Granville, Ohio and a Master's degree in Counseling from the Princeton Theological Seminary, Princeton, N.J. She holds a number of HR-related affiliations.
