Employers Group Debuts 10-Fold Increase in Online Training Solutions for California Businesses
January 16, 2009 - As part of its growing Internet presence at www.employersgroup.com, where
sophisticated human resources services are provided to California businesses by the state's chief employer expert
and advocate, Employers Group has introduced a greatly expanded 2009 online training program - at up to 50% lower
prices than last year, a positive impact for today's employers.
"Workers today are more decentralized than ever, and government mandated training has increased,"
says Mark Wilbur, president and CEO of Employers Group. "These realities, coupled with smaller training budgets,
require that companies provide fast, convenient training at an affordable price."
The training components include an engaging, interactive Harassment Prevention and Discrimination
Training for all supervisors in companies with more than 50 employees. California law (AB 1825) mandates that
supervisors receive two hours of training every two years.
Companies can select from one to nine additional training libraries, each with 10 to 30 different
online courses covering a wide range of topics, from supervisory development and customer service, to business
communications and human resources. Trainees must pass a competency exam after each course. Results and a company
analysis are available.
The new online training is both SCORM compliant (Sharable Content Object Reference Model, a technical
specification that governs how online training is created and given to learners) and AICC compliant (Aviation
Industry CBT Committee, means that a training product complies with one or more of the nine AICC guidelines and
recommendations).
To learn more, companies can take a self-paced online training demonstration. Call 800-748-8484, or
visit the online training section at www.employersgroup.com.
